Legacy of Ruin, Chapter 11, Faced With Sin (P2)Ishrien was so fixed on the apple pie she’d just acquired that she nearly bumped into someone. Only when she stopped to look over her shoulder did she notice she’d almost slammed into a company of soldiers. She took a small bite off the pie, wondering why the soldiers were making so much haste in the direction of the harbour. Her hand slipped down briefly to the moon glaive on her hip as she considered there could be another elemental attack going on, but her hand left the weapon quickly when she realized the elementals were unlikely to come from the harbour.
Unable to contain her curiosity, she went after the soldiers, dodging past a couple more people as she munched on the end of the pie. The streets of Theramore were always so crowded. Being used to the forests as she was, the busyness of the city was a disorienting experience. At times, she seemed to forget what her purpose for being here even was, and in those moments the only thing she could really put her finger on w
Legacy of Ruin, Chapter 11, Faced With Sin (P1)There were several ships all around them, sailing to and from the harbour, and then there was one that was coming straight towards them. Most of the ships Llorrin saw were merchant vessels that were smaller or of comparable size to his frigate, but the one heading towards them was a massive battleship, bigger than the Orcduster or any other ship that had still been under Adane’s command when they’d set sail from Tanaris.

Legacy of Ruin, Chapter 10, Parting Skies (P3)Llorrin would’ve chuckled at Eryck’s remark if he hadn’t been in so much pain. Any laughter welling up inside of him died as soon as he was confronted with Lieutenant Palliter.
“Is this your idea of an exchange, captain?” the lieutenant asked briskly.
“Back off,” Irewyth said, appearing to his left. The tears were gone from her stormy eyes, the fire had returned. Llorrin was surprised to see she’d recovered so fast.
“Hiding behind women now, ‘captain’?” Palliter said, shaking his head.
“Hiding?!” Irewyth exclaimed. “At least he-”
“Irewyth, hush,” Llorrin said before things could escalate.
Think, I need to think, he told himself, knowing Irewyth wasn’t going to stay quiet for very long, but right now standing was difficult enough by itself. He reasoned that perhaps this time, it would be best to simply tell the truth.
“I take full responsibility for what happene
